The seed of our Studio began with a shared work experience at the Hub, Ltd., then Raleigh's most prestigious menswear shop.  There it was that Bruce, Becky & Hamayoun formed a friendship and mutual respect for each other's abilities.  In 1994, the exodus from the Hub began and led to the creation of the shop that would become Liles Clothing Studio.  From a humble beginning in a small shopping center, we gained the trust of Raleigh's most respected business leaders and professionals.  What began as a small adjunct to our business, our custom and made-to-measure offerings was prescient of the menswear trade.  With tailoring skills and knowledge of fabrics and trends, the custom operation grew to a significant part of our total business. 

 

Fifteen years ago, we saw the future of Raleigh in Midtown, and moved our Studio to North Hills, then a fledgling lifestyle center, and today a burgeoning neighborhood of local and national shops, restaurants, office towers, hotels and luxury living.  We added more members to our team to keep us up to our level of service.  As our business continued to grow, we adjusted our focus on artisanal products and rarely seen lines.  Our focus is on products and ateliers that share our design philosophy.  We believe in a classism realized through a modern lens.
